Just Another Lazy Weekend

We have been way too busy lately with work (me) and social obligations (mostly Wyatt) so this weekend we had nothing planned except Wyatt's first swim lesson. On a weekend on which we had nothing planned this is what we did. On Friday: babysat and played with Satya, went to Whole Foods playground, and went to eat Chinese. On Saturday: ate breakfast, went to the splash pad with Joe and Teresa, ate second breakfast, went to swim lessons, took a nap, visited with Bobo, tailgated and watched the first half of the UT v. Wyoming game. On Sunday: read books, read the paper, went to Central Market playground, drove by the old house, took a nap, played with trucks, baked muffins and made smoothies (while Daddy mowed the yard), made a train using kitchen chairs, went to Zilker Park and rode the real train and played on the play ground. Oh, and we fit in potty training and laundry. So, as planned, we just had a lazy weekend ;) Wyatt loved"Barkin' Springs" as his cousins call it. He and Daddy waded in.
On the train.
Ready to ride. Got our tickets!
Homemade train. Nearly as fun as the real thing.
All the toys riding in the bus. I forgot how he described this scenario, but it made perfect sense at the time. I think "Gamo" and "Key" are riding too--these are his cars, which he named.
Sitting on Ross's friend's lap. He just met this guy, but obviously liked him. He made me take him to the portapotty after Doug went. Thanks, Doug. Taking a two-year-old to a portapotty that has experienced hours of use when it is 100 degrees was extremely miserable. I almost decided to abandon potty training right then. Especially after Wyatt didn't even go!
Go Horns!
Tailgate tacos. And another first--Wyatt told me "I'm bored." Who taught him those words??
Demonstrating the back float with Ms. Larissa. Wyatt enjoyed his first swim lesson. He was easily distracted by watching everything that was going on at the pool, but the kid rocked the back float. He was a natural at that.
Learning to swim!
Reading with Daddyman.
