Just July

There's not a whole lot going on these days other than cooking Wallis, home renovation, and trying to keep Wyatt entertained. He's developed so much in the past few months and he's keeping us pretty busy with his new-found love of negotiation and talking back. Normal three-year-old developments, I assume, but it can be trying nonetheless. His humor and insights more than make up for the little extra fits of independence we've been having. He's still (mostly) a very sweet little guy. He tells me he loves me all the time, which, of course, never fails to melt my heart.
Wyatt is really taking his love of tools and home repair to a whole new level. He is "reading" This Old House magazine. "Let's look at the drills again." What about that guy wearing gloves?" "Is he doing gardening?" He's a little mini Ross. Ross bought Wyatt a socket wrench and screw driver on sale at Home Depot and Wyatt was so excited. It was better than any toy we could have gotten for him. Daddy is the best!
Working on Uncle Andy's jeep. Good ol' dirty fun.
One of his many junk piles. He loves piling up junk. I don't know what this is about, but he does it every chance he gets. His tractor, his bed, Pops' kayak, a wheelbarrow . . .
This is the fire station that he and Ross built. They love playing fire trucks.
We went on our annual Fourth of July visit to Mimi's. We had a wonderful time, as usual. I don't get out of the house much lately so it was really nice to get out and see family.
Three generations of Hendersons. Ross Wyatt Henderson, Wyatt Paul Bunker Henderson, and Mrs. Paul Henderson.
