We've been awol for a while for various reasons, both technical and logistical. I have a three month long trial coming up and am very busy at work getting ready for that, plus winding up my usual cases. This trial has meant no vacation for me and the kids this summer. I really, really want to go on a beach vacation, but it will have to wait until next summer. Wyatt asks me often when we are going to Maine and San Diego. The kid likes to travel. I doubt his sister will do as well as he does.
Meanwhile, the summer in Austin is progressing as it generally does with birthday parties, splash pad, swimming, and swinging in the front yard. Wallis really enjoys swimming and Wyatt is working on his water skills with us and Pops. Wyatt also went on his first camping trip with Daddyman and Pops. Camping was a big hit and I really think Wyatt will be a life long outdoorsman.
Yesterday was Wallis's first Square Dance, which she very much enjoyed. She stayed up until 9:30 with little problem--dancing, bobbing, and charming the night away. Wyatt, too, loves the Square Dance and he's never too shy there.
We've celebrated the Fourth of July in El Campo with Mimi as we always do. The kids had a great time tearing around the house looking for trouble and eating delicious food. On July 1, we celebrated Pops's birthday with Chinese food and a lemon cake that I made.

El guapo. Very handsome and terribly sweet just like his Daddyman.

Wyatt and Wallis hiding from me. They love to play together. She thinks he is the funniest, best brother in the world. He works pretty hard to make her laugh and keep her safe.

My sweetheart and mini-me. She loves to laugh and cry. She is a busy, mobile little thing and scoots and cruises around the house wrecking havoc and making us laugh.
