San Diego

Wyatt went to San Diego for the second time. Okay, really the first time, because he was in utero last time. He was very excited to hit the beach. Ross had a conference in San Diego so Wyatt and I were left on our own for four days. That was the first time Ross has been gone overnight since Wyatt's been born, so I was a little concerned. We managed okay. Wyatt missed Daddy a lot though. Every day at school drop off he asked whether Daddy was going to pick him up. It was a little sad. I missed Daddy, too. Finally, Bobo, Wyatt and I boarded our plane to go see Daddy. We had a great time. A lot of eating and napping and some beaching. Along with a trip to the zoo. Ross and I had been to the San Diego Zoo twice before but we were happy to go again. Oh, and Wyatt was the perfect traveler. I am so proud of his plane manners. We have another trip to Maine planned in August (and that is a LONG trip) so I am hoping his plane manners last!
Daddy knows how to do everything cool.
Five shovels was nearly enough for him. Thankfully our hotel had beach gear because we were totally unprepared.
Food!
We ate at the Hash House. Ross insisted that we wait 45 minutes with a two year old when we were starving already. Bobo and I were not thrilled with this plan. However, we both conceded that it was totally worth the wait. The food was delicious. And huge. I highly recommend it if you head to San Diego.
More food. I thought this picture of little Wyatt eating a giant burrito was funny.
Hugging the gorilla statue at the zoo.
Beach park. Very fun.
In front of the Harbor.
We had the most fun at the beach on the first day when we had no water to drink, swim suits, or sunscreen. It was really sunny and Wyatt was very thrilled with putting his feet in the water and chasing sea gulls. I mean he really liked chasing sea gulls.
