Maine 2010

Last week we headed off for our big vacation to Maine. This time we were celebrating Uncle Eric's marriage to his former childhood sweetheart Julie. Wyatt was very well behaved on the airplane. He's a seasoned traveler having taken four trips in the past year. Maine in August was beautiful. I've never seen Maine not beautiful but I don't go in the winter. We landed in Portland and then spent the next day at the beach and catching up with the Morins. The beach was gorgeous. Clean, sunny, and with very cold water. I ended up swimming some, but the guys decided to just play with sand and shells instead. The water was about 60 degrees but it actually felt great for a short swim. On Friday we headed up into the mountain area of Newry to go to Uncle Eric's wedding. We stayed at the Mahoosuc lodge http://www.mahoosuc.com/ where they have canoe and dog sled guiding. It was so pristine and serene. Wyatt gets a little grumpy after a couple days of staying up late and rising early, so he wasn't a great wedding guest, but he had a really good time playing with his cousins and checking out the 38 huskies. I am devoting another post to pictures of the wedding events for those who want to see a million pictures of the Bunker clan, but here are some pictures of Wyatt and his folks in Maine.
He's looking at the dogs. And very happy to be sitting on farm equipment.
Wyatt and Daddy made handprint art in the sand.
Evidence of me embracing the cold Atlantic Ocean.
Toes only, thanks.
Someone left this awesome sand pit--Wyatt couldn't get enough of it.
