Holiday Spirit

This year I decided that we should go all out in an attempt to get some Christmas spirit. While I wouldn't call it a huge success, Wyatt has really enjoying the effort. Ross spent several hours decorating our house (only the love of his child could drive Ross to this). Ross also let us get our tree the first weekend in December so we could enjoy it longer. Wyatt has been thrilled with all of this. He told that he we would be getting two trees--one large one and one small one for his room. So we did. I've baked several batches of cookies to share and discovered my new favorite cookie--triple ginger. Having a small child really does make the holidays brighter. Old enough to enjoy the lights, music, and decorations, but young enough not to be too worried about the gifts. Wyatt on the little mall train. I went to the mall on Sunday morning and survived (barely). Bobo and Wyatt had a good time.
The Zilker Christmas tree. This has been a near-annual tradition since I was a small child. Wyatt liked this a lot, but he didn't really care for the light and music show that they had. Sometimes he's so much like his parents that it's a little frightening.
New favorite cookie--three kinds of ginger!
Ross's wonderful work.
