The VERY Late Christmas Post
So I seriously contemplated just skipping the Christmas post since it is almost February. But then I remembered that this is really the only central repository of the happenings of Wyatt's life. Not that there must be one, I mean most of us have only a baby book with a few old photos documenting one or two events from every third year of our childhood, right? And we're not in therapy over it. But, I've already embarked on the photo documentation of Wyatt's nearly three years of life, so why not keep it up (at least for the big things)? So here is a brief bit of our Christmas. The batteries died in the camera so I really only have a few shots of three of his four Christmas celebrations. Needless to say, he had a really great Christmas. Santa got him only two toys--tools and a guitar, yet, somehow he ended up with a boatload of new toys.
Tools from Santa. These have been a big hit. He works on his baby stroller all the time (see below). Ross is building a shed right now, so Wyatt works alongside his Dad as often as possible. This is a really great set of battery powered Black and Decker kid tools. Great gift.
Big, noisy Caterpillar dump truck from Uncle Andy and Aunt Meagan. Also a big hit. And it has a mute button!
Gigi examining her Christmas goodies. Love her antlers.
Santa brought Wyatt a guitar (really a little ukulele). He loves to sing all day, so now he also plays guitar during his little performances. The ABC song is one of his most popular.
We didn't get to have any cousins at Thanksgiving with the Hendersons, so we were pretty excited that all of them came to Christmas Eve dinner. Rylan and Nathaniel are taller than me now and just hitting the teen years. Crazy. Also featured above is Jess's delicious cajun pasta dinner. So good.
