And because things haven't been crazy enough around here. Ross has been working on the demo for our upstairs remodel for a few months, but when he had to have his appendix removed last week and got banned from heavy lifting for two weeks, things got accelerated. Yes, poor Ross had to have an appendectomy. And drive himself to the ER at night and then wait alone overnight for his appendectomy. And then he had to suffer the difficulties of several failed attempts to intubate him, before they woke him up to assist them with the procedure! Thankfully, he was fine afterward and in much less pain. But back to his other project. He got home from the hospital on Sunday, so he stayed home on Monday and called a bunch of different tradesmen to come work on getting the upstairs done. We only have five months until we are really, really going to need a second bathroom and another bedroom or two. Preferably bedrooms where the midnight wailing of a newborn can't be heard so well. So Wyatt is getting a new room upstairs with a loft bed! It will probably be a while before he can actually sleep in the loft, but how cool will that be when he gets older? Ross loves his little buddy and is always trying to think of fun things for him. Loft up top.
