Wyatt has taken to being a big brother. He loves his little sister and loves to talk about how much he loves her. We had a very rough first two weeks where he was quite out of sorts. There was much crying and whining. None directed or in reference to niban, just all for his parents. Poor guy also started a new class at school the same week Wallis was born. He's doing much better now. He's pretty helpful most of the time and helps me by fetching things we need while I am nursing and getting things for himself. He's a real kid now who loves to make jokes, sass talks, negotiates, and tells me how to cook and drive (yeah, because I need a three-year-old to tell me how to cook pasta ;-) The other day Ross was playing around with Wyatt in the morning and pretending to try to eat his cereal bar and Wyatt starting laughing and squealing "that has my germs on it!" Too funny. What a boy. He still spends a lot of time playing in the yard and, if given the choice, generally prefers to play at home with all his junk rather than go to the park. He has a great imagination and uses to play work. Remember those days? When work seemed like fun? Yeah, that was a LONG time ago. But he loves to play work. And his favorite color is pink he tells me. He gets to see lots of pink now that his sister is here.
It is a very busy, but sweet life at the Henderson house these days. The laundry and dishes never end. The nights are broken into two or three hour increments. But life is also filled with lots and lots of cuddles. I was woken up for the day when Wyatt, sans pjs (which apparently were too hot last night), crawled into the bed and cuddled up to me whispering "Mommy, I just love you soooooooo much." Does it get better than that? I think not. I am going to remember this in the evenings when he's relentlessly demanding various food and entertainment, the house is a wreck, and Wallis is screaming as we wait for Bobo to come save us with her endless patience and extra hands.

| Just home from the hospital--a big momma and babies hug. |
| Fresh haircut. He protested haircuts successfully for several months until Ross and I couldn't stand it anymore. This may have ultimately involved bribery, but I don't want to talk about it. |
| "Hitching" his sister's bed to the dog crate with a tape measure. That's what the guy who works for the city does. (This was a closely supervised project. And she really seemed to enjoyed being entertained by her big brother.) |
| Ready for school. Seriously. Works boots? Check. Helmet? Check. Mismatched clothes that he chose? Check. |
| Group love with tiny baby sister. |
