These pictures are from our November photo shoot with Aunt Juliet at Town Lake. Though I have had little time to do much except work and keep the family alive this fall I was determined to get our Christmas cards done.
I spent the past two months in trial four days a week. It's a good learning experience but a LOT of work. In the meantime my sweet babies just keeping growing up. And my dear husband has picked up the slack.
Wyatt's current obsession is fishing. It's pretty much all he talks about. The day before winter break he played the fox in a preschool rendition of Chicken Little. It was pretty cute. All the kids were fearless thespians. Wyatt is doing really well at school. I've finally quit fretting about whether he will be ready for kindergarten next fall. It's hard when all the little girls are sooo far ahead in reading and writing. Wyatt can't read yet, but he's caught up enough so I'm not worried about him being ready in August.
Wallis is quite the little toddler now. She says dozens of words every day and clearly communicates anything and everything that she desires. She has such a different personality than Wyatt did as a toddler. He was always very, very busy but quiet and stoic. He was very independent and played by himself a fair amount. Wallis is very busy too, but requires a lot more interaction than Wyatt ever did. She has so many opinions and wants to share them :) She likes to be held a lot and just chats away all day long. Her sleeping has vastly improved in the past two weeks, but I would be very hestitant to declare it permanent.
Ross and I are doing well. I am enjoying an 11-day Christmas break from work. It feels ridiculous to sit on the couch while Wallis naps, just blogging. I've gotten more sleep in the past week than I have in years.
