Rodeo

Ross's mother fact-checked the blog and figured out that Wyatt is actually an eighth generation Texan on her side. That's about as Texan as it gets, I guess. He's only a first generation native-born Texan on my side, since I was born in Arizona and only arrived in Texas a year or so later. Anyway, in homage to his lineage and just for fun, we went to the rodeo. (Though, I will point out that Arizona gives a week off of school for the rodeo!) It was actually Teresa and Travis who suggested that we take the boys to go see the herding dogs. We saw the sheep herding dogs. They were mostly border collies and they were very cool. I think the adults got more out of it than the kids. BUT, Wyatt and Joe loved the petting zoo. It was a pen full of darling coat-chewing baby goats, pygmy goats, alpaca, etc. Sooooo cute! I am happy to report that we refrained from eating fair food so no one got sick this year. All photo credit goes to Teresa, since I forgot the camera.

I am totally scared of goats, but baby goats are irresistible! Wyatt is too cute petting them.

Hmph! How did I miss out on this fun? Satya would have LOVED petting the goats! I didn't know they were going to have a petting zoo. Next year- we're there!
