Closing Out His First Year

We had a little excitement during the penultimate week of Wyatt's first year. First, we learned that he did, in fact, contract hand, foot, and mouth disease. Thankfully it sounds much worse than it was. I think he got a less virulent strain, because outside of a little grouchiness and a rash, it wasn't too bad. Second, Wyatt took his first steps. He waited until I was home alone with him and he just started toddling. Apparently this was just a preview, because he toddled alone several times on Tuesday but he hasn't done it since. I have no idea why and I am a wee bit frustrated because I really wanted his daddy to see it. I think we may get him some real shoes and see if that helps. Anyway, that was plenty of excitement for this week and we'll see how next week unfolds. Only five more days until this little guy is one. Crazy. Playing at Central Market after we visited with Travis, Teresa, and Baby Joe.
Momma and the Love Monster.
Good family shot of the Wohlers.
Teresa and her little man Joe (a/k/a TJ--Teresa Jr.) He is getting so big, so fast.

Happy First Birthday Wyatt! It seems like only yesterday that we were discussing our crazy pregnancy cravings... jello, captain crunch, strawberry milk...

Looking forward to some yummy barbecue!
