Packing It In
We decided to pack it in this weekend. On Saturday we hit the Town Lake (actually Lady Bird Lake) trail to get some exercise. Then we got some lunch and went home for a nap and chores. In the afternoon we reconnected with one of my old high school friends, Quinn. He and Greg met us at Central Market. It was hot. On Sunday we rose earlier to hit the trail, then went to Waterloo for breakfast. Ross and Wyatt came home for Wyatt's nap and I went to work (booooo). Wyatt took a nice long nap which was great because that meant I didn't miss much of his awake time. After nap/work I made turkey spaghetti for lunch. We then went for Wyatt's baptismal visit to Barton Springs and Pops joined us. This is my favorite place in the world but we don't go very often because it is really packed and parking is terrible. Ross and I both loathe crowds and bad parking (I know, we are old). I spent much of my childhood swimming in Barton, so I was very excited for Wyatt to go. He loved it. The water was okay for him, but the crowd and squirrels really pleased him. He likes crowds. After Barton we went to my parents' house for dinner with Tina, Melly, Gigi, Andy, and Meagan. What a weekend. Loads of fun. Wyatt was beat when I put him to bed at 7:30.
Ross, Wyatt, Quinn, and Greg.
